World Chocolate Day have been celebrated since the 7th of July 2009. While admitting that some of us are chocolate addicts, July 7 is an excuse for me to have some of my favorite which is the organic dark chocolates.
I prefer dark chocolates with a minimum of 60% cocoa mass because of it’s several scientifically proven health benefits which ranges from its ability to lower the risk of heart disease, assist with weight loss, boost brain function, reduces blood pressure by improving blood flow and of course, dark chocolate is also a powerful source of antioxidants and lastly, I love dark chocolates for it’s sharp but smooth and intense taste.
Woolworth Food have proven to be my favorite retailer of quality, homemade dark chocolates. Firstly, for the retailer’s support for responsible cocoa farming, and secondly for increasingly patronizing small scale farmers and also for its certification by UTZ which represents the world’s largest program for sustainable farming of coffee and cocoa.
Chocolate, most especially dark chocolate is good for your body and #WorldChocolateDay is an opportunity for you to tap into the many benefits the cocoa beans brings.
